Jon is the mastermind behind Healthy Heart. A Queens native, he graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in economics. Prior to joining Healthy Heart, Jon spent 10 years as an administrator for a chain of adult care centers in New Jersey, where he saw a great need for multicultural food that accommodates a diverse population of residents. Jon brings passion, enthusiasm, and humor to the workplace. He leads the Healthy Heart family by example and has created an environment in which each of the diverse staff is treated with respect and encouragement. Jon is passionate about feeding underserved populations and gives every Healthy Heart client the quality care they deserve. When he’s not at the office, you can find Jon watching sports or geeking out to video games.
Originally from Serbia, Filip serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Healthy Heart, bringing years of experience in financial management within the food service industry. Known for a meticulous approach and exceptional attention to detail, Filip ensures that all financial operations align with the company’s strategic goals.
In addition to their financial planning and analysis expertise, Filip is adept at leveraging technology to improve financial reporting and streamline processes. Filip’s commitment to precision and accuracy has been pivotal in maintaining the company's financial health, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and fostering transparent financial communication across all levels of the organization.
Chef Michael joined Healthy Heart with over 20 years of culinary experience. As the Executive Chef, he is responsible for overseeing the preparation and service of meals in large-scale operations such as schools, shelters, senior centers and corporate dining services. His role involves a mix of culinary expertise, management skills, and collaborating with our registered dietician to design our menus. From his travels, Chef Michael has developed a mature palate and uses this to infuse flavors from his global travels to create culturally diverse meals.
Elysa Dinzes is Healthy Heart's Registered Dietitian, bringing more than twenty years of experience in nutrition and food policy to her role. With her extensive background, Elysa works diligently to ensure the nutritional excellence of every Healthy Heart meal, tailoring menus to meet all regulations and each of our customer's unique needs.
Elysa's holistic approach integrates her deep industry knowledge with a genuine passion for delicious and healthful eating. Having spent almost a decade working for NYC Aging where she oversaw 300+ meals programs, Elysa has a deep understanding of the intersection between public and private entities. Throughout her career she developed successful worksite nutrition and wellness programs for Fortune 500 companies, enhanced meal quality for numerous community organizations, and guided restaurants and food companies through complex health and nutrition regulations.
Terriq is the Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at Healthy Heart where he brings a wealth of experience in building and nurturing strategic alliances within the food service industry. With a deep understanding of market dynamics and a talent for forging impactful collaborations, Terriq plays a critical role in expanding the company’s reach and driving growth.
Beyond his professional achievements, Terriq is deeply committed to community outreach. Terriq believes in the power of giving back and actively participate in various community initiatives, leveraging the company's resources and network to support local food banks, nutritional education programs, and other community-based projects.
Terriq hails from Jamaica and brings his love of foreign cuisine with him! Terriq is a self-proclaimed foodie and the unofficial taste tester at Healthy Heart. Terriq holds a Bachelor in Business Management from Farmingdale State College. Terriq's favorite part about working at Healthy Heart is going to a school or daycare and seeing the little ones enjoying the meals from our kitchen. It's a humbling and heartwarming experience.
With over 12 years of dedicated service in the food service industry, Yordy is a seasoned professional known for his strategic vision and operational expertise. Currently serving as Director of Operations at Healthy Heart, Yordy plays a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing all aspects of the company's operational activities.
Throughout his career, Yordy has demonstrated a relentless commitment to excellence, implementing innovative strategies that enhance efficiencies. His leadership has been instrumental in streamlining processes, improving service delivery, and maintaining the highest standards of quality across the company.
A Queens resident and a huge Kobe fan, Yordy is all about the Mamba Mentality.
Hoa, originally from Vietnam, has been part of the Healthy Heart team for 9 years. Hoa’s day begins at 4 am when he begins packaging meals in temperature-regulated bags and cooking breakfast for congregated sites. He assists with packing, cleaning, and operating the forklift. Hoa’s favorite part about working at Healthy Heart is that he is accepted for being himself. Hoa is innovative and enjoys bushcraft.
Marc has 20+ years’ experience working in the nonprofit sector where he oversaw several programs, including group homes, juvenile detention centers, shelters, halfway houses and supportive housing programs. Marc brings extensive experience in Human Resources and Compliance, particularly with policies and procedures, fire safety, building codes and city inspections. Marc helped develop NYC’s Close to Home Program where he was on the governor's committee to reform education for juveniles in NYC. Marc started and oversaw several community centers for underprivileged youth in NYC. In addition to the many hats that Marc wore, he traveled the country providing training to agencies and professionals on trauma informed care. Marc has a BA in Criminal Justice from John Jay College, where he was the starting guard on the men's basketball team. Marc also has a master’s degree from St. Mary's University in education and a second master’s from Manhattan College, in administration.
As the Director of Client Relations, Aaron brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to cultivating strong client partnerships. With a career spanning 22 years in client management and relationship building, Aaron has consistently demonstrated an exceptional ability to understand client needs and deliver tailored solutions.
Prior to Healthy Heart, Aaron held progressive roles in client services, where he honed skills in communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution. His proactive leadership style empowers teams to anticipate client needs and exceed expectations, driving mutual success.
When Aaron isn’t working, you can find him spending time with his family and outdoor cat. Aaron enjoys playing basketball, traveling, and anything having to do with the outdoors and nature.
Magdalena, a Brooklyn native, joined Healthy Heart four years ago. As office manager, she speaks with clients and provides the exemplary customer service that Healthy Heart is known for. Maggie is so beloved by clients - in the summer, some schools call her just to say hi! A mom of 3, Maggie hopes to travel to Italy someday.
Ragdira has been part of Healthy Heart Food team since 2022 as a Customer Relationship Manager, where she oversees client satisfaction and ensures exceptional service delivery. With over 10 years of dedicated customer service experience, Ragdira brings a deep understanding of client needs and a passion for exceeding expectations.
Her career is anchored by her commitment to customer satisfaction and operational excellence. Her journey includes significant achievements in fostering long-term client relationships and enhancing service standards in the food service industry. Ragdira holds an associate's degree in early childhood education, which has enriched her interpersonal skills and understanding of human development. Her educational background complements her role in building meaningful connections with clients and colleagues.
Outside of work, Ragdira enjoys sharing her love for dance and fitness as a licensed Zumba instructor. Her vibrant personality and commitment to health resonate throughout her professional and personal endeavors.
